Where Have I Heard This Before?
Joe the Plumber hit a nerve for me the other day when he asked Barack Obama about his tax plan.
“I’m getting ready to buy a company,” begins Joe’s question, “that makes two-hundred… about two-hundred fifty, two-hundred seventy, eighty thousand dollars a year. Your new tax plan is going to tax me more, isn’t it?”
Presidential candidate Barack Obama then goes into spin mode, trying to calm Joe’s nerves about his tax plan, by throwing out a convoluted, number spewing response which ends with “you go from 36 to 39 percent which what it was under Bill Clinton.” So the supposed candidate of Change would really like to make things the way they were…
Later on in the response, Obama states “if the economy is good for the folks from the bottom up, it’s gonna be good for everybody. If you gotta plumbing business, you’re gonna be better off if you have a bunch of customers who can afford to hire you. And right now, everyone’s so pinched that business is bad for everybody. And I think when you can spread the wealth around, it’s good for everybody.” Really? Where have I heard this before?
UPDATE: Here is some more evidence that Obama may have a mean Marxist bent to his politics.
